Body art and modification are a part of the human experience. Even the smallest forms of body art, like a nose piercing, can be beautiful ways to celebrate life. Luckily, the passage of time has seen society be a bit more open and accepting of those who embrace the life of tattoos, piercings, and body mods. But if we go back to the nose piercing, it's a unique stylistic decision by the wearer to have bit of sparkle or shine right smack in the middle of their face. It immediately draws the viewer's attention right to nose, and that can either be a good thing or a bad thing. Some might still have somewhat starchy views of the whole thing and lump a nose piercing into the same discussion as a neck or face tattoo. Clearly, they might say, a decision was made to live a life without care for maintaining a decent livelihood because they'd rather decorate their face.
